HeyDesigner started in 2012 because I was tired of digging through noise to find things worth reading.

So I started reading through what design and development people publish each day, and posting what's worth your time. No algorithm has a say in what shows up.

That hasn't changed. Every link that goes up is something I read first, and most of what I read doesn't make the cut.
